New chapter – New Website
Hey all, thanks for coming by!
This new website is the start of the next chapter in my life. Without dwelling on the past, moving forward I’d like to give you a glimpse into the potential future.
Recently, I went back and graduated from college, University of North Carolina, Asheville. Got two Bachelor’s degrees, actually. The first is an interdisciplinary degree called “Arts Management & Entrepreneurship”. Basically 70% business classes, and 30% classes focusing on an artform like music, fine art, writing, film. I chose ‘new media’. In fact, I loved it so much that I decided to take some extra courses and wound up getting a second Bachelor’s in New Media. That degree is more of a general degree in digital art. I learned a lot about all different ways that you can create art with a computer. There are three options for upper level focus: video, interactivity, or animation. I went for animation, something I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. Another dream fulfilled!
Along the way, I’ve incorporated some additional classes, like screenwriting and drawing classes. Combined with my prior experience in music and guitar, learning these new skills has caused me to change my course into some new creative directions. Now I can combine my loves for art, music, and story and explore new frontiers, like comic books, animated films, maybe even video games. Lots of ideas, lots of projects currently in process. Can’t wait to show them to you.
So, now its time to give my creative output a home, and start sharing them with the world.
